General Assistance
What is General Assistance?
The General Assistance Program is a County-funded loan program designed to assist adults in meeting their basic needs for housing, utilities, personal needs, and transportation.
You will be required to apply for other types of available income as a condition of eligibility.
There are three components to the program:
Disabled individuals who need support until their Supplemental Security Income (SSI) benefits are awarded.
Individuals who are unemployed.
Assistance for homeless applicants to a place of residence.
