Employment and Benefits Services Home
Assistance Programs provide several benefits to low-income adults and families. Human Services Department staff work directly with clients to determine their eligibility for assistance and provide referrals for related services.
The Benefits Call Center serves individuals and families who are receiving assistance from Food Stamps, Medi-Cal, Foster Care, Adoption Assistance, and/or CalWORKs.
CalWORKs Cash Aid is a state sponsored program designed to assist parents with dependent children in finding and keeping a job, advancing careers through job training, development of new skills, and covering child care costs during work or training hours.
CalWORKs Child Care Program helps eligible families pay for monthly child care as they move through their Welfare-to-Work activities towards employment.
Welfare-to-Work Employment Assistance helps CalWORKs participants find jobs and become self-sufficient.
CalFresh (Food Stamps) is a federal program that helps low-income people buy the food they need for good health and nutrition.
General Assistance is a county funded loan program, which assists eligible adults with no dependent children by providing them with basic living needs and helping them become self-sufficent.
Medi-Cal Health Benefits provides health care services to those who qualify. Staff assist individuals and families with the application.
