August 25, 2010 Service Update Announcement
In January 2010 we moved to the third floor of 1400 Emeline Avenue, Building K of the Emeline Avenue Complex. Our mailing address is P.O. Box 1039, Santa Cruz, CA 95061-1039. Our telephone number is (831)454-4761 and new fax number is (831) 454-4290.
We will not be able to see people on a walk-in basis until further notice. Please telephone for an appointment or to talk to a Veterans Services Representative.
The Palo Alto VA Shuttle Bus service will continue to operate as always. It stops across the street from the Santa Cruz Veterans Memorial Building every non-holiday weekday at about 9:20 a.m. and arrives at the Palo Alto VA at about 10:45 a.m. It leaves the Palo Alto VA on the return trip at 2:00 p.m. Telephone the Palo Alto VA Medical Center at 1-650-493-5000 for more information about this shuttle service and other stops on the route.
We continue to operate the DAV van service to the Palo Alto VA Medical Center from 1400 Emeline Avenue. Reservations are required. Please call (831) 454-4761 to make a reservation.
Service to the VA Monterey Clinic is available with Lift Line. Telephone (831) 425-1558 for information and to make a reservation. There is also transportation from the Capitola Vet Center/Clinic to the VA Monterey Clinic provided by the Monterey DAV Post. Telephone (831) 384-9400 for information and to make a reservation.
The Palo Alto VA Medical Outreach Team has returned with a clinic-on-wheels every non-holiday Wednesday from 10 a.m. to noon and from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. The clinic parks in the lot across the street from the second floor entrance to 1400 Emeline Avenue. Appointments are not required. If you have not enrolled in the VA Healthcare System before please bring your DD 214 or, if you served during WW II, your official report of separation from active duty.
