IHSS Commission

The IHSS Public Authority Advisory Commission is a volunteer advisory board which meets every other month to make IHSS program recommendations to the Board of Supervisors. 

The commission is consists of IHSS consumers, Santa Cruz County residents, and IHSS staff.

Meetings are open to the public.  Next meeting is June 1, 2012.

IHSS For Providers

In Home Supportive Services Public Authority was established in 2001 and is responsible for specific tasks to help eligible recipients and care providers of In-Home Supportive Services in our county.  IHSS Public Authority acts as the employer of record for IHSS Independent Providers.

IHSS For Recipients

In Home Supportive Services helps elderly, blind and disabled people to remain in their own homes when they are not able to fully care for themselves.  The program pays for a variety of services including domestic services and personal care.
