Civil Rights and Fair Hearings

The Fair Hearings Office is responsible for processing and representing the County of Santa Cruz Human Services Department in all California Department of Social Services (CDSS) State Hearings. Hearings may be requested by clients or applicants of the various programs who are dissatisfied with any action, or inaction of the County. The Fair Hearings office also receives and investigates grievances and discrimination complaints.
